Fiberglass Pool Installation

How long does a fiberglass pool installation take?

Most fiberglass pool installs take a few weeks from excavation to final walkthrough, depending on the pool model, site conditions, permits, and any decking or landscaping work. After an on-site assessment we provide a clear timeline for your specific project.

Why choose fiberglass over gunite or vinyl?

Fiberglass installs faster, requires less ongoing maintenance, uses fewer chemicals, and resists algae thanks to its smooth gel-coat finish. The shell is manufactured under controlled conditions, so structural quality is consistent — and San Juan’s warranty backs it.

How much does a fiberglass pool cost in Arizona?

Most fiberglass pool installs in Mohave County land between $55,000 and $95,000 in 2026, turnkey. The final number depends on pool model, site access, equipment package, and decking scope. We provide fully itemized quotes after an on-site assessment.

What size and shape options are available?

San Juan offers dozens of fiberglass pool models in a wide range of sizes, shapes, and depths — from compact courtyard pools to large family designs with built-in benches, sun shelves, and spa combos. We help you pick the right model for your yard.

Do you handle permits?

Yes. We handle all required permits and inspections so you don’t have to navigate the process yourself. Permit costs are itemized in your quote.

Pool Leak Detection

How do I know my pool has a leak?

Watch for rising water bills, a pool level that drops faster than normal evaporation, wet spots around the equipment pad, or air in the pump basket. If you’re losing more than a quarter inch per day beyond normal evaporation, you likely have a leak worth checking.

How quickly can you respond to a leak call?

We aim to schedule leak detection within a few business days. For active emergencies — visible flooding, rapid water loss, equipment failure — call us directly and we’ll prioritize.

Do you handle the repair after you find the leak?

Yes. After diagnosis we give you a written quote for the repair. Most homeowners have us handle it start to finish — one crew, one invoice, one point of accountability.

Pool Remodeling & Equipment

How long does a pool remodel take?

A straightforward resurface-plus-tile job typically runs a few weeks. A full remodel with new equipment, plumbing, and decking takes longer. We give you a specific timeline after walking the site.

What equipment brands do you service?

All the major ones — Pentair, Hayward, Jandy, Sta-Rite, Raypak, and others. If it’s on an Arizona pool, we’ve probably worked on it.

Should I upgrade to a variable-speed pump?

For most homeowners, yes. Variable-speed pumps cut electricity use substantially and typically pay for themselves in a few years. We’ll walk you through the math on your specific pool.

Will bead blasting damage my tile?

No. Bead blasting is designed specifically for glazed pool tile. The bead media removes calcium and stains while keeping the glaze intact — it’s the industry-preferred method over acid washes.

Pool Safety, Fencing & Inspection

Is a pool fence required by law in Arizona?

Yes. Arizona state law requires a barrier between residential homes and any pool deeper than 18 inches. Most municipalities have additional local code requirements. We build every fence to meet both.

Can the pool fence be removed?

Yes. Guardian mesh fence is designed to come out in sections — useful when you’re hosting and want the open deck, and back up when the grandkids come over.

Do you provide a written inspection report?

Yes. Every pool inspection includes a photographed written report with findings, severity ratings, and repair recommendations. You can share it with your real-estate agent, lender, or future buyer.

How soon can you schedule an inspection?

For real-estate transactions we aim to schedule within a couple of business days to fit escrow timelines. General owner-requested inspections are typically open.
